Baby Madelyn is a little stinker!

This morning I went in for my ultra sound to verify the baby's breech position for the c-section. As soon as the technician put the monitor on my stomach she said, "Well, the head is down." I was in shock! I have been agonizing over this for weeks now. Very quickly I went from mad to extremely happy. I really was not excited about major abdominal surgery. I was ready to do what was necessary, but it still was not my preference. Nevertheless, it is no longer an issue. Now I just get to wait, like all other first time mommys, for that blessed baby to decide she wants to come out into the real world. After seeing her current weight at 6 pounds, 7 ounces, I am hoping for that day to be sooner rather than later. This baby could be huge! But she is so adorable I don't care.

Here is her cute little profile:

This is Josh's favorite picture of her. He put it on his phone and I am pretty sure he showing the entire world he thought she was so cute.

This is my favorite picture of her from today's "photo shoot". Precious!

did you feel her flip around? not that I would have known...it was so hard to know what body parts I was feeling.

Welcome to the big babies club. It was super fun pushing him out. Now you can sit back and relax (literally)!

such good news! (although you could still have a c-section, mattie gave birth today and after 3 hours of pushing, was too swollen to get him out so she had a c-section this morning) not to scare you...just sayin...

First of all, good work with the flipping! Secondly, don't worry too much about the size. Smaller women than you have given birth to bigger babies and ultrasounds are notoriously inaccurate at judging a baby's weight. I've heard estimates that were two pounds off! You've never had Ricketts, right? Then you should be able to handle even a very large baby.

Ivy was breech until about 36 weeks or so, then born at 38 weeks. It's all so unpredictable! Glad it seems to be going your way... I'll keep you in my pryares in the coming weeks, Jenni! :)

Jenni - speaking from experience, C-sections aren't so bad. At least I don't have the pee and poop problems that vaginal deliveries give you. :) Evan was actually face up, which caused the swelling. Hope everything goes well for your delivery!!
